Operational readiness
LN₂ Fogger Preflight Checklist
A preflight prevents the formal study from becoming the first time the team discovers a missing adapter, wrong voltage, incomplete fill, blocked route or unusable camera angle.
Before moving into the area
- Confirm model, serial number, manual revision and approved configuration.
- Inspect enclosure, wheels, cables, hoses, fittings and relief components.
- Verify electrical service and extension restrictions.
- Confirm LN₂ vessel, quantity, route and trained transfer personnel.
- Verify water type, lot/source, fill container and hold time.
- Confirm floor loading, door clearance and staging location.
Before fog release
- Confirm room state and protocol sequence.
- Verify ODH controls, ventilation and any oxygen monitor.
- Check output path, hose support and introduction point.
- Run camera, lighting, identifiers and storage test.
- Confirm operators, materials and interventions are ready.
- Perform a short controlled function check outside the critical sequence.
After the study
- Drain, clean and dry according to the current manual.
- Record remaining LN₂ and safe disposition.
- Inspect for condensation, damage or abnormal behavior.
- Back up raw video and logs.
- Document deviations, maintenance needs and configuration changes.
